  2. Hi Baili,

Thank you so much for your kind words. You are so right that a disturbance in our body helps to open windows in our souls! What an amazing way of putting it. Your creative mind is beautiful. I have become a follower of your blog so that I won't miss another creative insight from you.

    Take care,

    Lisa

  3. This was absolutely amazing! So powerful and poignant. The Ani DiFranco song simply adds to this.

It's incredibly well written. It touched me greatly. I can understand why you'd be afraid of the sharks below, but let this little fishy tell you this is superb! You have an incredibly powerful story, and we, your readers, are so thrilled and honored to be able to read this.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us! :)

    HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Lisa,

For starters, the lyrics of "Swan Dive" are sublime! Such brutal honesty and meaningful provocation. The vivid imagery behind the tampon part got me laughing. :D

No wonder we have crossed paths. Like you, I always felt my story had to be told. Just like you, I wrote bits and pieces of it on paper. And exactly like you, I decided to come out with it once I felt I became balanced enough.

Mikey sounds like the perfect gentleman. We need more men like him in the world. :) And we need more therapists like the one you went to, who are wise enough to prescribe little doses of medication!

The teeth analogy is truly beautiful. One that makes a lot of sense. :) I applaud and admire you for choosing to hold on to bipolarity as an integral part of you; it is symptomatic of an undying strength. :)

I am genuinely happy you reconnected with Mikey's family and venturing out into the outer world. I also find it commendable you chose to use your story as a vessel to better school people. I, lately, developed certain anti-social and reclusive tendencies and, after reading this, I will start considering making the effort to do just like you - get my butt out of the house. :)

Great post and great blog. Count me as an avid reader. :)

  5. Hi Friend,

Is your name Wilmaryad? I'm sorry, it's a very unique name and I do not recognize it as one... I just want to be sure that I am addressing you correctly!

Thank you for the detailed response to this post! I have been trying to give people genuine, thoughtful reviews on linkreferral, like yours above and find that I am not very good at it.

I love Ani Difranco, that's all I have to say about the song.

Why are you reclusive? I hope you don't mind my asking.

You might enjoy reading my post - Six Years Hiding... if you want to hear about some of my phone sex calls :-P. I don't talk about phone sex too much in it, but the bit that I do is packed with fun little tidbits (in my opinion).

  6. Hello, girlfriend :)

Wilmaryad Oscallas is a pen name - the amalgamation between Maria Callas and Oscar Wilde, whose loved child I'd like to think I am. :) You see, being closeted, I have to preserve some anonymity, even online. So, call me Wil, or Wilmy or any other variation of the pen name. :)

Good reviews don't happen everyday. They either come naturally or simply don't. We have no control over that; it's the same as trying to like someone while there should be no trying. Tomorrow, you may be in a better reviewing frame of mine, fret not. :)

As for becoming a recluse, I blame it on a romantic disappointment last august and my quitting my job. My job used to be the only reason I left the house; no job, no leaving the house anymore. Nothing for me out there, I feel.

No worries, Lisa. Reading all of your blog and commenting on every post is my mission for some of tonight and tomorrow. Can't wait to giggle out loud at the phone sex anecdotes. Call me crazy but I find this kind of stuff endearing and a shortcut to the human being's psyche. :)

  7. Okay Wil it is!

Maria Callas is gorgeous (I had to look her up) and Oscar Wilde wrote The Picture of Dorian Gray!! I've been wanting to read that. Have you read it?

Surely there is more for you out there - romantically and otherwise. Based on the bit I know so far, I would say you deserve much more than reclusion!

Thank you for taking the time to read more of my blog. And making a goal of it, how flattering.

I will be around waiting for your comments. I may even slip over to your blog and see what else you have done... I have to say that I haven't gotten much work done today. I am trying to quit smoking and am a total mess today. It's going to take me 10 full hours to get my 7 today. Ugh.

  8. I will, eventually, venture out of the house, but not for any romantic reason, I am certain. :)

Maria Callas might not have been the prettiest operatic voice, but she had the will and patience to beautify everything she was told was ugly about her. As for Wilde, he delivered a speech in court so close to my heart, when he was about to be thrown in jail for indecency ... "Love that dare not speak its name." Sigh :)

Listen! (noticed the threatening tone? lol) I am all cute and all, but I am a fierce harasser when it comes to dissuading people from smoking. People with good writing skills should not smoke, anyways. ;)
